Corn/Ethanol Ratio divides the corn price in US cents per bushel by the ethanol price in US dollars per gallon. It tracks changes in the cost of the main feedstock relative to the finished biofuel price. A rising ratio indicates that corn is becoming more expensive relative to ethanol and may increase pressure on production margins. A falling ratio indicates a more favorable relationship between feedstock and output prices, with other production conditions unchanged.
