The Company's primary business is the investment in and acquisition, ownership, financing and management of portfolios of single-tenant office, industrial and retail properties. The Company's assets primarily consist of general purpose, efficient, single-tenant office and industrial assets. As of December 31, 2012, the Company had interests in approximately 220 consolidated office, industrial and retail properties containing approximately 41.2 million square feet of rentable space, which were approximately 97.3% leased. In October 2013, Lexington Realty Trust acquired a portfolio of three parcels of land in New York.
