Open Joint Stock Company "Ukrtelecom" is the largest and most powerful national telecommunication operator in Ukraine. Established at the end of 1993 (until January 5, 2000 - Ukrainian State Telecommunication Enterprise "Ukrtelecom"), today Ukrtelecom is an enterprise consisting of 30 branches, including 27 regional directorates. The enterprise has established vertical structures for the operation of the primary communication network, according to operation of local communication and radio networks, maintenance of users and sale of services, etc. Ukrtelecom is a co-founder of a number of joint ventures operating in the telecommunications market of Ukraine. Among them are Infocom, Utel, Ukrainian mobile communications, Elsakom Ukraine, Telesystems of Ukraine and Telecominvest. In terms of the volume and range of telecommunication services, Ukrtelecom is the undisputed leader in the field of domestic telecommunications. The Company possesses a primary network, trunk and zone communication lines, provides all types of basic and most modern telecommunication services - international, long-distance and city telephone communications, wire broadcasting, radio communications, radio broadcasting and television, telecommunications, video conferencing, satellite communications, leasing digital channels , ATM / Frame Relay, ISDN, access to the global Internet. Ukrtelecom provides local telephone communications to almost 9 million subscribers. The public telephone network has 44 automatic long-distance telephone exchanges, including 18 analogue and 26 digital, as well as 4 international switching centers (MCC). Ukrtelecom is the leader among providers of Internet access services in Ukraine in terms of the number of clients - both individuals and legal entities. Ukrtelecom takes part in international telecommunication projects: ITUR, TEL, TEA, BSFOCS.
