Joint Stock Company "Yuzhuralzoloto Group of Companies" (JSC "YUGK") is one of the largest gold mining enterprises in Russia in terms of production and reserves. All the Group's enterprises are located in the Russian Federation.
The Group was created on the basis of assets owned by the Yuzhuralzoloto enterprise, which is a gold mining company in the South Ural region of Russia. The company was established in 1976 and was active in the vast majority of gold mines in the Chelyabinsk region.
Mining of gold-bearing ore is carried out both underground and open-pit. The company's assets include deposits in the Chelyabinsk region (operating - Svetlinskoye, Kochkarskoye, Bereznyakovskoye, Western Kurasan, as well as licenses for geological exploration and pilot production - Nailinsky, Oseysky, AltynTash, Zaitsevskoye), in the Republic of Khakassia (OJSC Kommunarovsky Mine). The Group is also developing placer gold deposits in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (LLC AS "Priisk Drazhny", LLC "Sovrudnik").
