Its activities include planning, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of an independent power grid for the transmission of electricity. The company owns the Italian National Transmission Grid (NTG) with approximately 57,400 kilometers of high voltage lines; 468 transformation stations; and 22 interconnection lines with foreign countries. It is also involved in the construction and maintenance of electricity transmission grids and plants for the generation of electricity, including renewable generation for own use and sale in Italy and internationally.
