Yamana Gold Inc. (Yamana) is a gold producer engaged in gold and other precious metals mining and related activities, including exploration, extraction, processing and reclamation. The Company has properties involved in gold production and other precious metals, development, exploration and land positions throughout the Americas, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Colombia. The Company operates in five segments: Brazil, which includes Chapada, Jacobina, Fazenda Brasileiro, development projects in the segment; Chile, which includes El Penon, Minera Florida, development projects in the segment; Argentina, which includes Gualcamayo, development projects in the segment; Mexico and other, which consists of Mercedes and other development projects, and Canada. In August 2012, the Company acquired Extorre Gold Mines Limited.
