Details are now available regarding Anthropic’s IPO—another highlight in a year marked by record-high IPO volumes. Airtel Mobile’s IPO in London was also a major event. On a slightly smaller scale: the IPOs of Infomaniak and Sensofusion.October 29, 2026. FRANKFURT (Deutsche Börse). Things are getting serious: On Monday of this week, Anthropic filed its prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the Bloomberg news agency, the investor roadshow is set to begin the week of November 9, 2026, with trading set to begin on the Nasdaq tech exchange the week of November 16.Anthropic is not alone in a year marked by record-high IPO volumes. The aerospace and telecommunications company SpaceX went public in June. It was the largest initial public offering (IPO) in history. In the first nine months of this year, the number of IPOs worldwide—888—was below the previous year’s figure of 922, as reported by the consulting firm EY. However, the IPO volume reached a record high of $288 billion—compared to just $114 billion in the same period last year. “The market is driven by equity stories centered on critical infrastructure and energy, AI and robotics, and defense—sectors that benefit from extensive government contracts and economic stimulus programs,” explained EY Partner Martin Steinbach. SK Hynix Leads the PackThe foreign stocks with the highest trading volume on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange were most recently SK Hynix (<US78392B1070>), Samsung (<US7960508882>, <US7960502018>), and Nvidia (<US67066G1040>). They are followed by Micron Technologies (<US5951121038>), Microsoft (<US5949181045>), Strategy (<US5949724083>), Apple (<US0378331005>), Alphabet (<US02079K3059>), Novo Nordisk (<DK0062498333>), and Meta (<US30303M1027>). Infomaniak: From 56 to 85 francs“Despite the positive trend, market participants remain selective,” explains Marc Richter, who trades stocks for Steubing AG. In particular, compelling business models, attractive valuations, and sustainable growth prospects have been key to the success of new IPOs. He highlights three IPOs that have not received as much attention. For example, the Swiss cloud provider Infomaniak (<CH1609605055>) went public on the Swiss stock exchange SIX on October 1. “The listing took place through a reverse takeover, in which the already publicly traded Perrot Duval Holding acquired the Infomaniak Group as part of a stock swap and was subsequently renamed Infomaniak,” Richter explains. The first day of trading was “extremely dynamic”: “After an opening price of 56 Swiss francs, the stock closed at 85 francs.” This corresponded to a market capitalization of the listed B shares of approximately 400 million francs. On Thursday morning, the stock is trading at 76 francs. Trading is also possible here in Germany. On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Infomaniak is currently trading at just under 84 euros. Marc Richter Sensofusion IPO Oversubscribed Several Times OverOctober also saw a successful initial public offering (IPO) by Sensofusion (<FI4000609672>), a Finnish specialist in drone detection and drone defense. “The IPO in Helsinki, which was oversubscribed several times over, generated gross proceeds of approximately 259 million euros for the company at an offering price of 16.41 euros per share and valued Sensofusion at about 1.6 billion euros,” explains Richter. A successful market debut with prices above 20 euros was followed by a consolidation. Sensofusion is currently trading at 16.45 euros—still above the offering price.Airtel Mobile—Largest LSE IPO in Five YearsThings aren’t going quite as smoothly for Airtel Mobile (<NL0015074C60>), a subsidiary of Airtel Africa—which, according to its own statements, is one of the largest fintech platforms in Africa. “With Airtel Mobile Commerce, Airtel Africa listed its digital financial services division as an independent publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in October,” explains Richter. The offering price was 1.96 British pounds per share, resulting in a market capitalization of 5.3 billion pounds—the largest IPO on the LSE in five years. The stock was initially volatile. It is currently trading at 1.90 pounds and at 2.10 euros on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
