Commercial bank PrivatBank was founded in 1992. Today PrivatBank is one of the most dynamically developing banks in Ukraine and occupies a leading position in the country's banking rating. As of March 1, 2004, the net assets of PrivatBank amounted to UAH 10,547 million. The authorized capital of the bank is UAH 700 million, equity capital is UAH 1,034 million. The bank's loan portfolio is UAH 7,983 million, including loans to individuals - UAH 2.1 billion. The bank's balance sheet profit as of March 1, 2004 was UAH 9.8 million. At the end of 2003, PrivatBank was recognized as the "Best Bank of 2003 in Ukraine" in the framework of the Best Bank Award rating of the Global Finance magazine. The authoritative international financial and analytical magazine "The Banker", based on the results of the research carried out in 2000 and 2002, awarded PrivatBank the title of "The Bank of Year". Another influential magazine - "Euromoney" for four years in a row - in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 recognized PrivatBank as the best bank in Ukraine.
