Rankings recently published by the British financial magazine Euromoney show PKN ORLEN as being the best managed oil company in the region. We operate six refineries and the region's largest network of service stations located in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and Lithuania. In line with our strategy for gradual transformation of the Group into an energy conglomerate, we consistently develop our hydrocarbon exploration and production (upstream) and power segments. We are building a 463 MWe CCGT unit in Włocławek, and a similar project in Płock is in the development phase. We hold ten licences for oil and gas exploration throughout the country. One of our priorities is to explore for and extract natural gas from unconventional sources in Poland. We are also involved in hydrocarbon production from unconventional deposits in Canada through our subsidiary, TriOil.
