Western Airport Group

Western Airport Group Co., Ltd. was incorporated on 7 December 1995 and reorganised into the current group form in 2003 following the localisation reform of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport and the intake of the Yulin, Yan'an, Hanzhong and Ankang feeder airports, subsequently consolidating the Ningxia and Qinghai airport companies in 2004 and 2006. The company is a provincial state-owned enterprise under the Shaanxi Provincial Government managing eighteen airports across Shaanxi, Ningxia, Qinghai and Gansu, with Xi'an as the core and Yinchuan and Xining as its two wings, accounting for approximately seventy and eighty percent respectively of civil-aviation airport count and traffic in the Northwest region, and diversifying into aviation logistics, hotels and catering, media and advertising, information technology, and duty-free operations.
