Meda AB is a Sweden-based company active in the specialty pharmaceuticals sector. Its portfolio comprises products in the areas of respiratory, cardiology, pain and inflammation, dermatology, gastroenterology and CNS (central nervous system), as well as a range of over the counter (OTC) products. Its operations are organized in four functions. Sales and marketing is active in Europe and the Unites States, among others. Drug development includes clinical development, regulatory activities, and department for pharmaceutical development. Manufacturing is engaged in ensuring the flow of products to Meda AB’s marketing companies. Administration consists of the Company’s finance department, covering performance, compliance and risk management; and Group Services department comprising corporate legal functions, brand management and human resources (HR) administration. Its subsidiaries include Acton Pharmaceuticals Inc and Rottapharm.
