Aselsan A.S. was founded at the end of 1975 by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation for manufacturing communication devices. ASELSAN designs, develops and manufactures modern electronic systems for military and industrial customers, in Turkey and abroad. ASELSAN is organized in four main divisions, according to the field of activities: Communications Devices Division (HBT), Defense Systems Division (SST), Radar, Electronic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Division (REHIS) and Microelectronics, Guidance and Electro-Optics Division (MGEO). The headquarter is located in Ankara and there are production and engineering facilities - in Ankara, Akyurt Izmir and Teknokent. ASELSAN has representative offices in various countries, the first overseas one (ASELSAN BAKU) was established in 1998 in Azerbaijan.
