Dragon Aviation Leasing Company Limited (Dragon Aviation) was established on October 26th, 2006 in Beijing as the jointed venture invested by China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS), AerCap – a leading aircraft leasing company in the Netherlands, and Calyon Airfinance – a leading Bank in aircraft financing in France. As the first aircraft operating lease company in China, Dragon Aviation aims at meeting the increase aircraft demands in the world aviation market, especially the China and Asia markets. Relying on the skills of Dragon’s team and employees and well as the rich experience of the stockholders in the international leasing field, Dragon Aviation sets its sight on becoming a leading aircraft operating lease company with its unique characteristics in China. Dragon Aviation is mainly involved in the civil aviation product and service field, especially the leasing of aircrafts and engines. Meanwhile, it also provides a wide range of services such as sales and leaseback, structure leasing, aircraft remarketing, consultation service, etc. In February 2007, Dragon Aviation received its first new Airbus A320 and leased it to Shanghai Auspicious Airlines Limited. In February 2009, Dragon Aviation received the first directly-ordered aircraft of the Airbus A320 series in Toulouse of France and leased it to Air France for commercial operation. At the end of June 2009, Dragon Aviation received the first Airbus A320 made in China. These activities all mark the key step of Dragon Aviation towards its strategic goal of constructing an aircraft asset scale worthy of USD 1 billion in the following years. They also mark the beginning of the maturity of the aviation leasing business which is one of the four mainstay businesses of China Aviation Supplies Holding Company.
