Altushkin Igor Alekseevich was born in 1970 in Sverdlovsk. Altushkin graduated from the Ural Institute of Business, began his entrepreneurial activity in 1992 with the establishment of the Aeron company, which was engaged in the collection and processing of non-ferrous scrap. Within a few years, the company became one of the leading suppliers of secondary raw materials for companies in the region. In 1995, he participated in the creation of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company. Over the following years, he was engaged in the development of the holding. In 2004, Igor Altushkin founded the Russian Copper Company. As Chairman of the RMK Board of Directors, he is responsible for the Group's business development strategy. Under his leadership, the company implemented a number of projects unique to the industry and became one of the largest copper producers in Russia. Altushkin is the chairman of the Committee on Nature Management and Ecology of the Sverdlovsk Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, is a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg Mining University and the Board of Trustees of the Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.I. Glinka.
