State Property Committee of the Republic of Belarus

The State Property Committee of the Republic of Belarus was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated May 5, 2006 No. 289 "On the Structure of the Government of the Republic of Belarus" by joining the State Property Fund of the Ministry of Economy to the Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy and Cartography under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of July 29 , 2006 No. 958 defines the main tasks of the State Property Committee — implementation of a unified state policy in the field of land relations, geodetic and cartographic activities, names of geographical objects, state registration of immovable property, rights to it and transactions with it, on property relations (including management, disposal, privatization, valuation and accounting of property owned by the Republic of Belarus), with the exception of privatization of residential premises of the state housing fund, as well as maintaining relevant cadastres, registers.
