U.S. Bancorp (U.S. Bancorp) is a multi-state financial services holding company. It provides a range of financial services, including lending and depository services, cash management, foreign exchange and trust and investment management services. In December 2011, its Elan Financial Services unit announced that it has completed the acquisition of the credit card assets of 28 financial institutions. In January 2012, the Company’s bank, U.S. Bank National Association, acquired the banking operations of BankEast, a subsidiary of BankEast Corporation, from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
